Dusan Misevic, PhD, is a mathematician and evolutionary biologist, who holds the position of Director of Research Affairs at the Center for Research and Interdisciplinarity (CRI) in Paris. Talented kid from Belgrade, after pursuing his happiness and knowledge in the US, has developed international scientific career focused on evolutionary biology, simulations and modeling. He has worked primarily on questions relating to evolution of sex, evolution of cooperation, robustness, evolvability, and genetic architecture. True believer in the openness of science. He’s been singing in various choirs for 15 years. He enjoys the "joie de vivre" of the City of Light.

Dušan Mišević, PhD, was born in Belgrade, Serbia, in 1974. He graduated from the high-school for talents Mathematical Gymnasium in 1994, and then started his studies at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the University of Belgrade, which he continued at Bennington College in Vermont, USA. He received a double bachelor's degree in mathematics and biology from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in Pasadena, USA, in 1998. He received his doctorate in zoology in 2006 with honors under the mentorship of the famous Professor Richard Lenski and Professor Charles A. Ofria at the State University of Michigan (MSU), East Lansing, USA. He was on the post-doctoral research from 2006 to 2009 at the ETH in Zurich, Switzerland, working with Sebastian Bonhoeffer. Post-doctoral research continues in Paris with Francois Taddei at the French National Institute for Research in Health and Medicine (INSERM). In 2015 and 2016, he worked as the scientific coordinator of the bachelor program "Borders of Natural Sciences" at the University of Descartes in Paris (ex-Sorbonne). From 2016 to 2018, he worked as the Deputy Director of Research, and in 2018 he became the Director of Research at the Center for Interdisciplinarity and Research (CRI).
