Withered Season Flowers explores a feral ecology that has flourished in the abandoned greenhouses of Ventimiglia, Liguria, Italy. The camera drifts slowly, accompanied by the sound of the plants’ sap, through a greenhouse once used to cultivate Rosa chinensis, a flower imported from China in the 18th century. Now left to decay, this space has become an unintended experiment in plant survival under extreme conditions. Withered Season Flowers reveals both the fragility and resilience of ecosystems, while inviting reflection on the impact of human activity on the environment.
