Fred Brewster, aged 81, sits in his living room and says, 'I just don't know why young people complain about having to wear condoms. Look what we had to put up with'. He pulls a very old reusable condom from a box and holds it up. He says that he called it Geronimo and that it was like 'wearing the inner tube of a bicycle'. He explains that he had to wash it each time he used it. The advert points out that if Mr Brewster 'put up with Geronimo', then 'you can use a condom'. Further screens read, 'A condom can help protect against HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases' and provide the AIDS helpline telephone number.
