Adam is a gamer kid who spends most of his free time as a beloved and popular character in an immersive virtual reality game - VERSE. Inside, he's formed a deep connection with his girlfriend Sam, someone he's never met in person but feels closer to than anyone else in the real world. When the two finally decide to meet offline, however, a moment inside the game shifts their dynamic in a way neither of them fully understands. As Adam struggles to process the experience, he begins to question the line between his virtual self and his physical identity.
