Like much of Maruyama’s work, the description of this double 16mm projector performance is too simple to render its effect. Two illuminated dots dance in darkness, betraying the imperfections of the churning gears and motorised mechanics of analogue projectors. Like dancing moons gibbering the faulty frame rates for our fallible eyes.
