A short video influenced by the contemporary state of rose cultivation that combines research on horticultural mutations, beauty as economic capital, and the universal erotic and spiritual symbolism of the rose. This project was deeply informed by my day job as a florist. The work takes a sensorial approach to the material, using touch, sound, taste, smell, and sight to experience and learn from the flowers, albeit in nontraditional ways, like trance.
