Leonel Vasquez, along with carpenters and fishermen from the coast of Valparaíso, Chile, built a boat/sound installation following the almost extinct tradition of the artisanal wooden boats that still ply these waters. Through the wooden speakers on board, you can hear the voices of artisanal fishermen narrating in first person the struggles they face every day to survive in the face of bureaucracy and industrial fishing.
