This Is A Limit is a filmic exercise created within the laboratory Videogramas de una ciudad en conflicto (UNAM, 2024). It explores the tension between the boundaries imposed by nature and those established by civilization. The piece confronts the slow evolutionary pace of ecosystems with the violence of urban edges: walls, highways, and cameras that divide what the land itself did not separate. Through documentary images and performative gestures, it critiques the extractive logic of the present: real estate speculation, intentional fires, fossil fuel use, and the fragmentation of communities. The short film proposes a geopoetic reading of territory, where the border is not exclusion but a living zone of contact.
