Ricky Lau’s 1985 comedy horror hit Mr. Vampire popularised jiangshi fiction: a genre centred on reawakened corpses herded by Taoist priests. Over 40 years later, documentary student Jie is filming Lao Li (believed to be the last jiangshi on earth) for his graduation project when a familiar face from the past shows up. Only Priest Four Eyes, portrayed by original actor Anthony Chan, can give Lao Li the sendoff he deserves.
