In this experiment, ferro fluid is suspended in dish detergent and magnetized. The dish detergent is a fluid that the oil is supported in but slowly erodes the surface tension of the ferro fluid.The viscous soap resists the oily magnetic fluid, as the oil is moved, the size of the structures break down as the resistance is depleted. Shot with a macro lens, this film depicts the dynamic and diverse structures formed by the resistance of these materials.
