Soma of the Land / Becoming Landscape approaches the body not as a bounded organism, but as a sensing terrain—porous, receptive, and entangled with the intelligence of the living world.

Through biomaterials (wound healing bandages), 3d scans of bodies and landscapes, moving image, and sound, the work explores how knowledge emerges somatically: as resonance, memory, and affect circulating between body and environment. Drawing on encounters with the sacred waters of Bulgaria, the film traces how perception extends beyond the individual, allowing the body to register signals from ecological and more-than-human systems.

Rather than positioning consciousness within the mind, Soma of the Land proposes the body as landscape—an experimental site where planetary, material, and psychic processes co-compose a distributed form of intelligence. In Soma of the Land, our feeling aching body is the land.
