"Red Cloud" was filmed in the Nebraska childhood town of Willa Cather, one of the most famous authors of the American West. It is a portrait of a place, exploring the streets and architecture that most influenced her early writings. While time has changed some aspects of Red Cloud, many have remained the same for over the past 100 years, unusual for a country that is often tearing down its past to create a present.
