Smoke and Weather, the first film Greaves wrote, directed and edited, is about forest fires. Emergency Ward is an early landmark in cinéma vérité filmmaking—Greaves explores an emergency ward in Montreal, and speaks with doctors and nurses who minister to those who find their way to emergency care.
