Presence is a series of large-scale motion-captured video art pieces, creating dancing abstract forms with a human presence. A collaboration with choreographer Benjamin Millepied and the LA Dance Project, the moving image artwork continues Universal Everything’s exploration into the essence of choreography, movement and the human form.

Commissioned by Media Space London for their inaugural exhibition, Presence turns the screen into a stage and the body into an abstracted sculpture. Experimenting with various materials and forms, the life-sized moving sculptures in these motion-captured video art works cycle through a randomised collection of “costumes” that range from colourful light trails to crystalline formations, with only their movement revealing the human presence within.
