Picaflor is a video installation of a 16mm film that deals with the relationship humans have with flowers through an inaugural fiction: it wants to imagine the first time someone felt the desire to possess the beauty of a flower and plucked it from the ground. Generating a kind of mythical origin of capitalism, this image projects itself as the beginning of human extractivism on earth. A video without beginning or end that circles around desire, the desire for beauty, beauty, beauty made of violence, the violence that it can hide and what happens to us when we see it reveal.
