“PFIFF” is a collaborative interactive installation that explores the relationship between our bodies and space: physical, digital and augmented. This multidimensional installation draws from Italian futurism and the laws of movement to question where our own bodies end and the matter around us begins. The first layer features a video of a contemporary dancer performing an experimental electronic musical work; the second layer is a 3D printed sculpture that encapsulates the dancer’s movements into a solid form, and the third layer is an AR environment that brings the sculpture to life using motion capture.

“In this installation, I wanted to address the way in which we, as physical beings, manifest in a space and our relationship to the natural and artificial world we live in. I am interested in how this will shift as augmented and virtual reality become more popular in our everyday lives, and how we’ve become less present in a digital world.” - Senaida Ng
