Paraíso is a film and photographic series by Daniela Villarreal that explores the body through its relationship with nature. Conceived during an artist residency in the semi-virgin beaches of Chacala, Nayarit, the project reflects on the human tendency to manipulate reality in pursuit of perfection—unlike nature, which simply exists, flows, and coexists.

In this idyllic landscape, the artist found that creation doesn’t require a “perfect moment.” Nature teaches us that every moment is enough. Through organic compositions of fruit, sand, and sea, Paraíso invites us to let go of control, to stop categorizing beauty, and instead surrender to the ephemeral and divine rhythm of the natural world.

At its core, the series is a sensorial meditation on femininity, color, and the body—an invitation to observe, to feel, and to remember that everything, just as it is, is already paradise.
