Inspired on a true story, this film is all about Paloma, a transexual woman farmer who decides to get married in the church with her boyfriend Zé, a bricklayer. Unfortunate coincidences turn this event into national news headlines. The quiet life in a rural area of Ceará is completely shaken by Paloma’s urge to get married in a liturgical ceremony. Paloma is hardly punished for breaking up social conventions. The film explores the contemporary subjectivity of Brazil's outback and instigates a reflection about the traps of romantic love.
