Ocean Warriors is a six-hour television special event following activists around the world as they fight to save our oceans. ​The oceans cover over 70 % of the planet but they are in big trouble. More than three billion of the earth’s population rely on the oceans as a significant source of their food. Yet 90 percent of all large fish are gone, and ancient species such as Atlantic cod and Bluefin tuna have been decimated by industrial fishing fleets and plundered by criminal gangs. Scientists warn that without better regulation and enforcement, in another fifty years large-scale commercial fishing will be over. The future of the oceans is the crisis of our generation, and a call to global action.
