The American collective Omnes Films (Christmas Eve in Miller’s Point, Eephus) explores stories in a hypnotic way, without slipping into classic Hollywood tropes. It’s independent cinema looking for a way to make movies in which the present moment is all that exists. Here, several characters anticipate a hurricane, in a suspended state in which the worst can happen — or not.
