Recorded exclusively in slow-motion, this silent video documents the artist’s home city of Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland. Views from the train’s window map contested town planning and liminal green spaces. Calling on divergent references, including a nineteenth century essay on gravitation as well as astrological symbols, art and science collide. Fragmentary visual and text passages ask us to consider how we travel through a city’s fragile ecologies today, and into the future.
