I have been in a coma for three weeks during March 2013. The fact is that I came back and I had to make myself almost from zero after beating the Hantavirus. What happens when a rat infects you? Do you become part rat at a microscopic level at least? That comeback was a radical displacement and relocation experience. This video is related to that trance.

I had to learn how to walk again but the most difficult thing was to recover the swallow reflect that I have lost. To know if I was improving I had to take videodeglusion exam. When I first saw that material (which is the one you see mostly in this video) I was mesmerized. Swallowing again became my blue stone, the conquering of an old-new land. My throat and my entire body turned into Mi Tierra Invencible (My Invincible Land). Shortly after that, in 2014 and after one year of recovering, I was invited to an artistic residence in New London, Us. I spend a couple of months working on my videos and more important, on the experience of being kind of “born again” in a foreign country. That was a radical displacement and relocation experience that took me to think about the interior of my body as space of action, exhibition and meaning. I decided to merge the X-ray video material with the one I took swimming on the Great Reef. My statement is that travelling inside my body make me appear in a new land which was not the reef but a symbolic one.

“Video Lyrics”

I am looking for that kind of blue stone

The one that I´ve never had

(Not this one but the other)

The one that I ve never had

The one that ever
