A sunset is recorded in a single take, with concrete sculptural forms as the subject in the foreground. These structures are forgotten foundations of an abandoned building on the edge of Dubai, directly where the city meets the desert. They are overlooked contemporary archaeological relics of a hyper expansion. Using digital time manipulation and editing techniques, the sun in the video both sets and rises in a seamless loop. The viewers experience is no longer real time but rather a manufactured durational experience.
