The film deals with the traces we leave on Earth, and how this transforms our understanding of the environment, and what it reveals about us. Formally, the film focuses on the relationship between sound and images in a non-narrative context: how to combine the two into an abstract whole to create something greater than each separately. The images are edited musically, following the counterpoint and phrasing of the music.
