Madre Drone is a poetic meditation on water, tears, blindness, and survival amid ecological and social collapse. Moving through the fires in the Bolivian Amazon and the uprisings in Chile, the film weaves together the image of a partially blinded toucan and the injured eyes of protesters into a shared cosmic cry. Drones, vapor, and mourning become part of a new mythology in which loss gives way to another form of vision.
