Created between 1974–1989, this silent experimental film by Paolo Gioli was made with a homemade “stenopeic” device instead of a conventional movie camera. A simple hollow metal tube functioning as 150 tiny pinhole cameras captures vertical scans of space and figures, producing an image flow of alternating time and space, movement that never took place, and psychological visual echoes.
