LOOK WITH COMPASSION are words found in the calligraphy of Vietnamese Zen master, Thich Nhat Hanh. It is a reminder that to develop love and understanding you must look on all beings with the eyes of compassion. With imagery collected through microscopic, liquid and digital experimentation, artist Sara Brinkac seeks to nurture this insight by meditating on light, shape and our habits of seeing. Accompanied by Benjamin Portzen’s composition FOG | FORM | FORMLESS which exclusively uses the resonance of trees to create it's sounds, the work allows viewers to stop, be present for themselves and lovingly reminds us all to LOOK WITH COMPASSION.
