A horse travels across the Atlantic ocean from the coastline of La Ciotat to make it in the hills of Hollywood, guided by the stars, breaking borders of time and space. Following a speculative voyage made by one of the equine stars of the Lumiere brothers’ early moving images, this is a cinematic odyssey from France to California where the seed of early cinema experimentation in Europe sprouted into the sprawling film industry that overshadows its history – one that is currently said to be 'dying' at the ephemeral hands of artificial intelligence.
