On October 11, 2046, the sea devoured part of the Mexican territory. Almost all of Tabasco and part of Veracruz disappeared. What was known as Mexico is no longer. The blackness reached cities near the gulf, entered houses, shopping malls, the bodies of the sick—the fluid ran hurriedly through museums.
