The short film "If I Smiled at you" explores a sudden shift of emotional perspective: What if there is another level of perception, that people around you seem to be capable of, but you are not? You had always thought that the way you see them is the way they see you, but suddenly you are blind in an alien world.
Sandra is a brilliant medicine student who had always thought she could understand anything - that is, until her boyfriend disappears after a seemingly nice dinner and she doesn't know why. Through a neuro scientific experiment she uncovers subtle emotional cues in her past relationship, giving her a shockingly new perspective on her life and the world she lives in.
