While working on a film that seeks to make sense of home movies from her country, Portugal, a filmmaker at the beginning of her career talks with other filmmakers in hopes of better understanding what it takes to make cinema from archival images. What results is a poetic journey into the practice of archival appropriation, guided by the filmmaker’s love for the amateur cinema of the complex place she will forever call home.
