Classic British drama. A man fresh out of prison and seeking anonymity takes a job with unscrupulous haulage contractors whose drivers are forced to make death-defying runs as part of a money-making scam. He soon comes into conflict with the dangerous Red - the number one driver - and learns something that puts his life in danger.
