Fleeting Structure is a documentary film exploring the art and science of fluid flow and crystal growth in the living and nonliving worlds through stunning photographs and breath-taking cinematography driven by an intriguing original soundtrack. It is also a call to action to reestablish truth in society.

Photographing patterns of fleeting and enduring structure in nature focuses the lens inward, illustrating simple and extraordinary physical characteristics we share with the world we inhabit. I saturate these images in colors of light to animate fractal branching networks and the geometric precision of crystal growth that emerge from random events. My work includes concave/convex optical illusions of irregular topography that give rise to age old questions of free will, chance and determinism. Natural metaphors of social justice are realized in the never-ending struggle for equality fought at the interface between different density fluids.
