In this video the filmmaker bakes red bread as a symbol for her father’s dead and dying body, then petrifies it with caulking. Scrolling text functions as an “experimental lecture about loss and opacity”. The work was created for a three‑channel installation in Belgrade, Serbia, using kilims (as cultural signifiers of the everyday in the Middle East and Balkans) and a structure based on a collapsed bridge from Mexico City during the Puebla earthquake.
