A recently discovered monarch butterfly subespecies ("Danaus plexippus eclipsis") possesses strange toxins in its scales that cause powerful sensorial alterations to its predators. Intertwining vivid colors and textures of microscopic footage with the sway of the human body, this is a speculation about what happens to human beings if they come across the Eclipsis butterfly, in the midst of our hurting world. This film transforms –just as a butterfly does– from the conventions of educational documentaries into a sci-fi and corporeal experiment.
