Echo's Answer

Echo’s Answer, Andy Graydon’s second feature film, traces two parallel lives that were once intimately linked: two scientists at work in the field, an ecologist and an astronomer, revisit their long-lost friendship by listening back to cassette tapes they made for each other when they were teens. While these characters are at work experimenting in the material world, and speculating on its possibilities, simultaneously they are reflecting on the nearly forgotten inner worlds of their past selves. As the pair’s orbits threaten to collide again in the present, the film becomes a meditation on how history and memory, experiment and imagination weave together in the search to lead a meaningful life. The film is currently in development and planned to enter production in 2024.
