Arne Møller has always been obsessed with birds, as a child biking twenty miles to go bird watching at the nearest wetland or venturing to the lighthouse to look for fallen migratory birds misguided by the light, so as to nurture and study the specimen in hand. Later in life, he worked as a bird bander and as an itinerant birdwatcher/sailor migrating all over the globe in pursuit of seeing new species.
Declination in Time acts as a personal archive of memories in the life of one man, the life and death of birds in the instances of this man´s life, where the skinned shells of birds act as a sarcophagus of time juxtaposed with the linear narrative of a life well lived in the company of other animals, documented in newspaper clippings.
