Cristina is a transgender Honduran woman who was separated from her mother Alma when she was a small child, an event that caused deeply rooted trauma for both mother and daughter. Twenty years later Cristina has managed to locate Alma and they will have the opportunity to reunite. Only since their separation, Cristina has affirmed her female gender. If she presents as her true self, will her mother embrace her?
