BITS AND BOBS explores the interaction of motion and sound, and the interplay between the digital and analogue. Using only materials and sounds sourced from my desk, I animate these overlooked objects through stop motion, giving life to the inanimate through the act of poiesis. As sound meets movement, familiar objects transform, taking on mechanical, stilted, and reluctant gestures that ripple through the frame. This interaction becomes the backbone of the work, shifting perception and revealing the hidden rhythms within the everyday. Restricting myself to the surface of a single object, my desk, offered both freedom and constraint, allowing me to explore the depths of what it holds. In BITS AND BOBS, sound and movement intersect to uncover the quiet energy within the fragments that surround us.
