In the five-channel video Becoming Wind (2023), Akomfrah restitutes an allegorical representation of Eden, from a time when munificent species abounded to the human-centred ecosystem of the Anthropocene and its decline during the current epoch of climate change. Akomfrah mulls over the notion of Eden –a paradise that we once had, and a time when the planet had bountiful species.
