Gestures trapped in photographic stillness call to be freed by movement. At their most base form pixels do their dance pretending to be trees.  Comprised of 35mm print stills from the family archives of composer Jill Fraser, dating to the midcentury, reenactment and re-photography animate and marry the photographic fragments to the contemporary moment. The analogue-digital re-output to 35mm and 16mm creates an expanded motion, interpreted in pixels, these microscopic undulations exist like a memory- fleeting between frames.
