Astronome: A Night At The Opera is a filmed version of the avant‑garde opera Astronome, composed by John Zorn with libretto by Richard Foreman, staged in 2009. Henry Hills captured ten live performances from multiple camera angles, then edited them to present a fully cinematic version of the theatrical work. The opera draws on mystical, alchemical, and symbolic imagery, exploring initiation, ritual, and transformation in a fragmented, dreamlike structure.
