"Ascended Intelligence" is an emotionally responsive XR experience set in a 2030 Smart City. Where Consensus Gentium, (previous SXSW XR Jury Award award winner) revealed the pressure of being watched, this work explores what happens when the system begins to listen. Participants use their voice—tone, breath, and presence—to shape a branching cinematic journey in real time. As control gives way to reflection, AI shifts from directing behavior to mirroring the human. The experience offers a lived prototype for futures beyond extractive technology, where agency, authorship, and inner sovereignty become the true intelligence in the system.
