ANIMALATION is an expanded cinema project that explores the moving image as a living system. Across performance, CGI, sound, and environment, the work asks how cinema might operate through affect rather than story as we render the unfold through scale, feeling, musicality, movement, rhythm, and the infinite Black Experience.
The project treats CGI as a mode of worlding, where the body keeps score as it cultivates trust falls between viewer and environment, granting agency to ecosystems, and attending to forms historically rendered symbolic, extractable, or mute. Meaning emerges gradually, through attunement, as viewers build a lyrical posture over time, learning to inhabit the image on its own terms.
