Amare, an afro-descent Mexican woman was forced to migrate towards the United States of America to support her family, especially her sister, Cielo. Fourteen years later Amare returns to attend her father's wake, facing the long passage of her absence as she tries to reconcile with her sister, her mother, and the roots she left behind.
