For more than three decades Hans Kulk has been on a musical quest, collecting old test equipment from the 1950’s. Instruments that were never meant to produce music and were originally used for nuclear research and in space laboratories.

After 35 years of collecting these instruments Hans has founded the Willem Twee Studio’s. A unique studio for electronic music the likes of which cannot be found anywhere else in the world today, based in the Dutch city of Den Bosch.

Building on the legacy of electronic music composers like Karlheinz Stockhausen and Dick Raaymakers, Hans wants the studio to become an international centre of electronic music by pulling artists out of their laptops and into the world of analog sound synthesis.

In the documentary ‘A Wall of Sound’ director Joris Hendrix shows how an artist like Jameszoo dives into a new world of undiscovered sounds together with Hans. All by taking to his biggest devotion: musical experimentation.
