"A Holiday Tribute to Alcohol in America" is based on a standup monologue the filmmaker performed in New York, after receiving graduate and undergraduate degrees in fiction writing. Some of the original footage was shot during her artist's residency with the Rotunda Gallery and Brooklyn Community Access Television, where she became a certified producer. The film takes a satirical look at the importance of alcohol to America's great history, interspersed with her original music and the filmmaker tap dancing. Past awards include acceptance into the TIP-EAST sitcom writing workshop sponsored by the New York Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Her articles have appeared in "Newsday" and other publications. She has taught film at Fordham University-Marymount, has been a guest lecturer in the graduate film program of the Long Island University Media Arts Department, and has been a consultant and lecturer in graduate film and writing at Pratt Institute.
