Maggie is currently a 6th year Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Anthropology at Penn State University. Their research interests include understanding how ancestry varies among Latinx groups, as a way of investigating heterogeneity within one of the largest growing demographics in the United States. Maggie is also interested in Investigating how immigration history affects adverse health outcomes among marginalized groups, with a specific focus on Cuban immigrants and Cuban-Americans.
