About

Ben is an interdisciplinary scientist and designer. His current work aims to design digital measures for detecting cognitive change associated with aging, dementia and neurodegenerative diseases. Previously, he studied the neurobiology and neurochemical changes induced by chronic substance abuse and addiction, and the efficacy of novel treatments for substance use disorders.

Prior to working in this space, Ben held a variety of roles within both small and large technologically driven design firms, contributing to the development of a wearable device for real-time social networking, and large scale installations for interactive experiences.

Ben co-founded Crushed Red Studio, a production design studio in NYC, and worked freelance as a designer for fashion and editorial photography, short films, music videos, and live theater.
