After graduating in journalism, a branch of Audiovisual Communication (University of Navarra), Almandoz studied film in New York, where he directed the first short film of all those that would later compose, a prolific filmography in that format. His films have been screened at numerous festivals in addition to San Sebastian, such as, for example, BAFICI, ZINEBI (Bilbao), Mar del Plata or Barcelona's Cinema D'Autor.
